Shadowgraph is an independent media entity exploring culture and politics through otherworldly storytelling techniques.

We work between documentary and fiction.

Our films go beyond the headlines and explore the lived experience of upheaval shaped by the language of memory and dreams.

Alongside this work, we produce serious video-journalism that aligns with our politics, in partnership with organisations such as The Real News Network.

Built outside traditional media structures, Shadowgraph remains editorially independent.

Our work is sustained through collaborations and an education network for emerging filmmakers. Through online mentorship programmes, we support the next generation of storytellers and develop future collaborators.

We also fund our projects through the sale of collector-edition black-and-white photographs taken while reporting in the field, available in our shop.
